Helium 10 Ads Pricing: What Does the 2% Fee Really Cost?

Helium 10 Ads is not simply “included” at no marginal cost with Diamond. The plan unlocks advertising-management tools, and a separate 2% fee applies to the total advertising spend of profiles set to Managed. The distinction matters most when several accounts or marketplaces are connected.

Short answer: Diamond currently lists for $359 per month or $279 per month when billed yearly. On top of that, Helium 10 charges 2% of total ad spend across Managed profiles during the billing period. Analytics-Only or Disabled profiles avoid that management fee if set before spend occurs. The 2% is not limited to campaigns changed by an automation rule. Confirm your actual invoice and plan at checkout.

Original cost model based on Helium 10’s current pricing page and August 2026 Ads billing documentation; this is not an account invoice.

Which Helium 10 plan includes Ads?

Helium 10’s current pricing comparison places full Ads functionality on Diamond. The official Ads pricing article says Platinum and lower-tier legacy plans do not include Ads management. Enterprise or other higher-tier plans can have different commercial terms, so this page models Diamond only.

The feature set includes campaign creation and management, rules and automation, AI-assisted advertising tools, and profile-level controls. Access to a button is not the same as a proven return on ad spend; the seller still needs a campaign structure, accurate conversion data and weekly review.

What exactly counts as a Managed profile?

A profile is one advertising account plus one marketplace. Account A in the US and Account A in Mexico are separate profiles. A single brand can therefore have several billing decisions inside Helium 10 Ads.

Profile status What it means for the 2% fee When to use it
Managed Its total advertising spend contributes to the 2% management fee, even if Helium 10 rules do not touch every campaign. Only when you intentionally want management features on that account and marketplace.
Analytics-Only No Managed-spend fee for spend after the profile is set to this level. When you want visibility but do not want Helium 10 to manage campaigns.
Disabled No Managed-spend fee for spend after the profile is set to this level. When a profile should not participate in Ads workflows.

Helium 10 states the status must be Analytics-Only or Disabled before spend occurs to avoid the fee. Do not assume switching status later reverses an already incurred charge. The fee has no stated minimum spend threshold and is non-refundable under the current policy. See the official Ads Settings documentation.

Worked examples: the subscription is only part of the cost

These are arithmetic examples, not our advertising-account results. They exclude tax, Amazon’s actual media spend, other H10 add-ons and any coupon. “Total H10 cost” means the Diamond subscription plus the H10 Managed-spend fee, not the full advertising budget.

Scenario Managed spend 2% H10 fee H10 cost on $359 monthly Diamond
One small US account $2,000 $40 $399
Growing brand $10,000 $200 $559
Two Managed markets $25,000 combined $500 $859
High-spend brand $50,000 $1,000 $1,359

Mixed-status example: if US Managed spend is $8,000 and Mexico Analytics-Only spend is $4,000, the modeled H10 fee is 2% × $8,000 = $160, not 2% × $12,000. The Amazon ad charges for both markets still exist. The calculation depends on the profiles’ actual status during the spend period.

Managed-profile cost comparison

The chart below applies Helium 10’s documented 2% fee to total advertising spend on profiles set to Managed. It is arithmetic based on the stated fee, not a forecast of savings or campaign performance.

$5,000 ad spend → $100 fee
$10,000 ad spend → $200 fee
$25,000 ad spend → $500 fee
$50,000 ad spend → $1,000 fee
Monthly spend 2% managed fee Annualized fee if spend stays flat
$5,000 $100 $1,200
$10,000 $200 $2,400
$25,000 $500 $6,000
$50,000 $1,000 $12,000

Decision test: compare the fee with measurable labor saved or profit protected. Do not compare it only with the subscription price, and do not assume automation automatically improves ACOS.

When could the extra cost be worthwhile?

Value should be measured against the job Ads performs, not against a claim that automation “pays for itself.” On a $10,000 Managed monthly budget, the $200 management fee is a real operating cost. If the alternative is manual bid updates, reporting and dayparting, estimate hours saved and avoidable errors; if the alternative is another paid ad-management tool, compare total costs and coverage. Better ROAS or lower ACoS is possible, but not guaranteed.

  • Strong fit: a seller with active campaigns, a documented weekly optimization process and enough time or spend to justify automation.
  • Weak fit: a new seller with little campaign history who mainly needs product and keyword research; Platinum may be sufficient.
  • Needs caution: agencies or multi-market brands should audit each profile individually; fees aggregate across all Managed profiles.

Five checks before enabling Managed

  1. List every connected advertising account and marketplace. Treat each combination as a separate profile.
  2. Confirm the current status of each profile on the Helium 10 Ads Settings page. Do not infer status from a dashboard headline.
  3. Estimate this month’s spend for profiles you intend to mark Managed. Multiply the combined amount by 0.02.
  4. Choose a measurable workflow: bid rules, budget checks, keyword harvesting or dayparting. Assign an owner to review the results.
  5. Reconcile the next invoice with account and marketplace spend. Investigate any profile you expected to be Analytics-Only.
What we have and have not tested: AI Pilot Daily has access to a paid Helium 10 account for research tools, but no connected Amazon advertising account or real Helium 10 Ads invoice was used for this article.
